El Sueco and The Don are an American production and songwriting team based in The Hudson Valley, NY. The duo, made up of Musician/Producer Ben Senterfit and Songwriter/Vocalist Paul Rivers Bailey have spent years honing their creative chops, paying dues as working musicians, songwriters, producers, film makers, and entrepreneurs. Collectively, they have decades of experience working in every corner of the music and film industry.
A Brief History
Ben and Paul met in 2014, at Senterfit’s studio and music school Community Music Space in Red Hook, NY. They had each migrated back east (from Colorado and New Mexico respectively) and were in search of a creative community. They hit it off immediately and began collaborating in the studio, Paul writing melodies and lyrics to Ben’s productions. The result was a recording for Rivers Bailey’s solo effort called “Love Electric”, released in 2018, and subsequent singles and collaborations with artists in New York City and The Hudson Valley.
In 2020, during the lockdown, Ben and Paul decided to formalize their efforts and hatched a plan to hit the ground running once they were let out of their homes. They crafted a business plan to leverage Senterfit’s recording studio and deep production experience with Paul’s songwriting skills and solid business acumen to create a new business that would combine their skills and continue to allow them to do what they love.
Space Studios
The result of this work has been the creation of Space Studios, a physical and virtual space for the creation of imaginative content and business solutions. Whether it's audio and video production, songwriting, publishing, or digital marketing, Ben and Paul have been there and lived it. Space Studios has been redesigned to include two premiere recording and editing studios, with a third Podcasting studio, each room livestream and video ready.
The emergence of El Sueco & The Don
In the fall of 2021, after years of performing, producing, and curating creative content, El Sueco and The Don LLC was formed. The name, derived from the stage handles of Senterfit and Rivers Bailey, the duo is currently working on a multitude of projects that range from Audio and Video production to album releases, and songwriting commissions. The duo takes a holistic approach to content creation, collaborating directly with clients to figure out where they are coming from and where they are headed. They have also cultivated a cooperative of highly skilled musicians and film experts with the skills to complete and shine at any project that comes their way. El Sueco and The Don are working on a new release due out in the Spring of 2022.
